Magic Cat Academy is a storytelling game revolving around a battle between a witch named Momo and ghosts in 5 areas of the school.

Magic Cat Academy features Momo, a student from a witch academy who accidentally calls forth a ghost that absconds with a spell book. Over the course of five levels, Momo battles ghosts and monsters in the library, cafeteria, classroom, gym, and rooftop of the school.

The ghosts in Magic Cat Academy can be defeated by pointing the mouse in the direction shown by the emblem above each specter's head. Beams can be swiped in four different directions to destroy enemies on screen: horizontally, vertically, "v" shaped, and shaped like a heart, which can also heal the player.
